"Hamie" Young, furniture guy

Robert Hamilton Young was born March 2, 1895 in Grand River, Iowa. He was the son of Margaret F. Redd and William Colman Young.

He was a builder and carpenter and had spent 56 years living in Washington State. Hamie owned “Young’s Home Furnishings” from 1941-1949 in a couple of locations on Commercial Ave.

He married Rena Opal Young in 1918 and had four sons: Daniel, R. Dean, Dale E., and Raymond E.

Robert passed away on May 17, 1979 in Centralia, Washington and is interred at Fernhill Cemetery in Anacortes, Washington.
